Service button

The following actions can be performed using the service button:

  • Query bus address:
Press the button briefly. The integrated buzzer outputs the bus address as a sequence of beeps (e.g. five beeps correspond to bus address 5).

  • Restore factory settings:
Press and hold the button until the status LED glows red continuously. All stored parameters are deleted. The NRT must then be completely reconfigured..

  • Switching off the alarm device:
    See Operation and Maintenance.

  • Clear redial attempts:
While the NRT is performing redial attempts (status LED blinks green), these can be cleared by briefly pressing the button.

  • Resetting a fault condition:
If a fault is present, such as an unsuccessful routine call, and the status LED flashes red, the fault can be cleared by briefly pressing the button.

  • Activate service mode:

    • For technical reasons, configuration of the NRT via the terminal interface is only possible when the service mode is activated. To do so, press the service button once. A beep sounds, and service mode is activated (the blue LED on the WEM module lights up).

    • The NRT can be accessed via the terminal interface. Service mode is deactivated by pressing the service button on the NRT again. The blue LED on the WEM module turns off. For safety reasons, service mode automatically ends after 30 minutes.
