Routine call
For compliant operation according to DIN EN 81-28:2022, an automatic test call (=routine call) must be made at least every three days (72h).
If irregularities occur, the issue can be narrowed down using the status LED or the internal event log.
Powering down the NRT
If the NRT must be powered down, e.g. during removal or modification, the service button must be pressed after disconnecting the power supply and held until the power LED turns off.
Battery
General information
Under ideal operating conditions, the battery lifetime is approximately 3–5 years.
For safety reasons, the battery should be replaced at least every 3 years, even if no fault is indicated.
Only the battery pack specified by Telegärtner Elektronik (part no. 602601) may be used.
Under no circumstances may other battery types be used.
The use of standard, non-rechargeable batteries is not permitted and may result in fire or explosion.
Battery replacement

Unplug the battery cables.

The battery is attached to the housing with a hook-and-loop strap. Carefully pull the battery off the housing.

Attach the new battery to the housing.

Plug the battery cable back in.
Recycling the used battery
For information on the proper disposal of the used battery, contact your local waste management authority or hazardous waste advisory service.
