General
Telephone configuration allows access to the most important NRT parameters.
It also enables recording of voice messages used when routing an alarm to a telephone.
Dial-in and security code
To enter the telephone configuration mode, proceed as follows:
-
Call the NRT from a DTMF-capable telephone.
-
If multiple NRT units are operated on the same telephone line (multi-device operation),
the extension digit (bus address) of the device to be configured must be known. -
After dial-in, the NRT responds with a beep (single-device operation)
or with an extension prompt (multi-device operation).
In multi-device operation, enter the desired extension digit and wait until the selected NRT confirms with a beep. -
After the beep, you have up to four seconds to enter the valid security code via the telephone keypad (factory setting: 0000).
A correct security code is acknowledged with a single beep. -
You are now in telephone configuration mode and can enter configuration commands in any order.
The connection is automatically terminated if no command is entered for more than 30 seconds.
Confirmation tones
To indicate different operating and fault conditions, the NRT uses various confirmation tones for signalling:
