After completing all necessary electrical connections, commissioning can be carried out.
Establish power supply
Once the supply voltage is connected with the correct polarity, installation is complete and the alarm device performs a short self-test. During the self-test, the status LED lights red continuously. The pictogram indicators (internal LEDs and external outputs) are activated in sequence.
A short tone sequence from the speaker then confirms that the self-test is complete.
Verify installation
Alarm buttons
-
Check correct operation of all connected alarm buttons.
-
Press the alarm button for longer than 3 seconds. A dial tone must be audible from the speaker module assigned to the alarm button.
-
If the INPUT terminal is configured as an alarm filter, temporarily disconnect the plug to allow triggering via the alarm button.
-
-
If the VNS function is activated, the LEDs “WEM module active” and “Wi-Fi network active” light continuously.
-
If the device has not been configured, a tone sequence sounds (20× beep).
-
Alternatively, the alarm filter can be bypassed by pressing the alarm button for the configured time.
Factory setting: 30 seconds. The time can be adjusted via PRG 100.
The alarm buttons must remain operational even in the event of a lift main power failure! Observe the installation instructions!
Voice communication
To check the quality of the voice communication, a call must be established with NRT using a telephone (or a machine-room telephone):
-
Call the NRT from a mobile phone, an extension, or machine-room telephone.
In single-device operation, continue with step 3. -
If a NRT answers with an extension prompt, dial the extension digit (1–9) for the desired NRT.
-
NRT responds with a beep.
Enter the security code 0000, followed by *#06, to establish voice communication (4-tone sequence).
You now have several adjustment options which can be set by entering the following keys on the telephone:
|

3 |
Increase microphone sensitivity |
|
5 |

6 |

Clear alarm and disconnect |
Each press of a key is acknowledged by one beep from the NRT.
If the microphone sensitivity or loudspeaker gain has reached its maximum or minimum value, this is indicated by two beeps.
Configure the line impedance of the NRT to the correct setting (fixed line or mobile network).
Check the voice communication for each connected intercom station.
Depending on the installation location, distance between microphone and loudspeaker, etc., acoustic feedback may occur. Therefore, adjust parameters carefully.
In some cases, DTMF recognition may not be possible during feedback. If this occurs, disconnect the microphone and reduce microphone sensitivity or loudspeaker gain.
Configuring the NRT
If all previous steps have been completed successfully, the NRT must be configured. Refer to Configuration of the NRT 1 XS of this manual.
If the alarm is transmitted to a Telegärtner receiver of type “NRZ800”, configuration can also be carried out from there.
Perform alarm test
After completing all installation or configuration changes, a final alarm test must be carried out.
Important note:
If alarm filtering is active, this must be taken into account.
During the alarm test, the following must be checked:
-
The alarm must be established promptly, i.e. ideally without redial attempts, and reach the intended destination.
-
The alarm centre must be able to clearly identify the lift.
-
Voice communication must function clearly and without interference in both directions.
-
Additionally, further points can be checked where applicable:
-
A callback to the car should be possible.
-
Alarm filtering with open door.
-
Proper operation of the pictogram indicators and correct assignment.
-
