Using your own SIM card

As an alternative to the Siwaltec SIM, a custom SIM card can be used. The selected SIM and tariff must meet the following requirements:

• 4G/LTE-fähig mit entsprechender Netzabdeckung
  IPG establishes 4G connections only; no fallback to 2G occurs.

• VoLTE support (for voice calls)

  • Stable DTMF signal transmission via VoLTE

  • Compatible with any network provider available at the installation site (beware of roaming)

• No SIM restrictions due to data limits or contract conditions (no prepaid or similar plans)

• At least 5 MB of data volume per month for monitoring messages sent to the public network
  Reachable targets:

  • 8.8.8.8 via ICMP-Ping

  • monitoring01.tge-cloud.de Port 8883

• Operation of the emergency call system with a custom SIM card is at your own risk.

Please check before inserting the SIM card whether your selected plan covers all these points.

If you use a custom SIM card, the correct Access Point Name (APN) must be configured properly.
Please request the APN data from your network provider and configure the IPG accordingly.

The IPG transmits monitoring data to the TGE Cloud by default.
If you do not wish to use this data transmission, you can disable monitoring.
